| Frequently Asked Questions |
| |
 |
Q: How can I view the status of my order?
A: Go to the Customer Service, Account Information page. This page lists all your orders. Click the date of the order whose status you wish to view.
Q: What are your shipping costs?
A: You can view an estimate of shipping costs by viewing your cart. However, final shipping costs will be displayed on the Invoice you see before confirming your order.
Q: Where can I see your bikes in the metal?
A: You can oggle our bikes and parts at the Brand Spinking New Spinporium courtesy of our friends at Velotech in Ye Olde Stratford Upon Avon, England. We're not far from Will Shakespeare's old gaff, and the freshly spiffed up RSC is close by and open for coffee & cake as well as all of your theatrical and cultural requirements.
Q: Can I try before I buy? And what's the Litespeed Challenge?
A: We welcome you to come and have a go if you think you're hard enough. Provided you book first and ask nicely.
We'd love nothing more than for you to test one our Flying Machines back-to-back with whatever else you'd care to bring along. Or, why not ask about our Litespeed Challenge where we dare you to prefer a titanium Litespeed Icon over a titanium Spin Spitfire, both similarly spec'd.
Be warned however, as test flying one of our machines can lead to severe bouts of grovelling to your other half / bank manager, followed by rapid weight loss in the wallet department. Or worse, depression and withdrawal symptoms for those unlucky enough to leave without joining the squadron.
Needless to say all members of the Spitfire and Solo Demo & Display Team are equipped with the full armoury of Light Fast & Beautiful Spin Titanium parts and Splendid Carbonic Spin Super Sex wheels.
But wait. There's more!
Demo Squadron are wearing this season's ultimate gruppo and finishing kit, courtesy of ROTOR 3D+ cranks / Q-Rings, SRAM FORCE / RED and Fi'zi'k saddles.
And if you're in the UK at least, LFAB Spin Titanium Super Bikes are coming to a lightweight specialist nearer to you very soon, thanks to our distribution partners at Velotech. If your local lightweight emporium isn't stocking us, simply give her an ear bashing or just contact us direct. We'll be only too happy to help.
Q: I have never heard of Spin bikes. Could you tell me more about the brand and the bikes?
A: Spin Industries is an upstart player in the high end road & track bike market. Our raison d'être is simple: create light fast & beautiful titanium bike frames, carbon wheels & bespoke components. Then offer at breakthrough prices. Our products are not generic. Our tech & engineering is bang up to date. Our fabrication second to none. Yet our bikes retain classic looks that celebrate the beauty of functional raw materials and old school craftsmanship. You can learn more about our individual products & philosophy by browsing our store. We are an eBay Top Rated Power Seller and in our eBay store you'll find even more information and plenty of satisfied customer feedback to review.
Q: Where have you guys come from?
A: Our family owned and run business started more than 20 years ago, and is grounded in the design, engineering and production of high precision industrial components, OEM precision tool & mould making through to aerospace approved products used today around the globe in the automotive, aviation, marine, electronics and manufacturing industries.
Q: Why are you making bikes?
A: Only because we love them and not because we have to. That, and because we were simply never quite satisfied with every one of the very best bikes we ever owned. Over the last last 20 years we bought and rode a lot of the top name bikes out there. It's just that there was always something we thought we could do just a bit better. Something we thought could be improved. So, when the time was right, that's exactly what we started to do.
Q: Where are your bikes made?
A: Our bikes and parts are made in Titanium. More accurately, in the Spindustrial Nation of Titanium.
Now, we know it's not an actual country, at least not in the conventional, UN-recognised way of traditional thinking. It doesn't have any national borders. It doesn't employ an army of bureaucrats or anyone who's favourite answer is No and second favourite is Can't Be Done. But it does exist. It's real and it's the world we operate in. Does that answer your question? If not then please read on to find out more.
You see, bikes are made up of many individual parts, which in turn are produced all over the planet. So, rather than answer glibly with a single country, which we think is pretty meaningless in an international world, instead we answer in a way we believe actually tells you something much more, because it goes to the heart of our philosophy on quality and on bicycles. We believe that if you know what makes us get up in the morning and want to make bikes instead of kicking back on the beach, it might make you more or less likely to become a customer of ours. More likely means we're on the same wavelength, and then we know that you'll truly love and enjoy what you find here. And for the less-likely-to's, well we're also glad you found out now so you won't be disappointed later. If you're still with us, read on for location specifics.
Location, Location, Location
All our bikes are hand assembled at Spin Cycle Works in Stratford Upon Avon, England. This is also where all of our design, materials specification, engineering, test & development and inspiration get done.
Our titanium frames are hand finished and our wheels hand built, in-house and right here. But that, in and of itself doesn't make them any better. There's no magic attached to this location. It's just where we've chosen to carry out these particular roles, based on the best allocation of our skills, expertise and resources in what is a pretty complex process: that of putting a truly great bike together.
As well as design & development at one end of the line, and hand finishing and assembly at the other, all of which is done in England, much of our process manufacturing takes place across Asia, where our family business started out more than 20 years ago creating precision machined parts in metal, complex fabrication and OEM tool making. It's where, today, we employ the most advanced 21st century manufacturing technologies alongside some of the most highly skilled metal fabricators, welders and artisans on the planet.
We think it's important to remember that a bicycle is a complex assembly of specialist parts from different manufacturers. The individual parts, and even the individual parts that make up the individual parts are often likely to be made in many different locations and by many suppliers, spanning the entire world. For us, as a family owned and run business involved in precision OEM manufacturing for more than 20 years in varied locations around the planet, it is simply not important where something is made. The important thing is only that the quality, design and performance of the end product are of the highest standards. Because of this, every single part with our name on is designed with thought and attention to detail, thoroughly tested and ultimately improved through evolution and advances in materials, fabrication and process technology.
Every part shipped to customers worldwide only leaves our hands once it has been rigorously and individually checked, thoroughly evaluated and securely packed. Any part that fails to meet our exacting requirements simply never gets to meet our customers. Individual parts are fabricated either entirely or partly in-house, together with long-term partnerships forged with industry-leading specialist OEMs around the world, working to our strict design and quality criteria. |

If you are dis-satisfied with any product bought from us, for any reason, we want to hear about it. Just tell us what the problem is and how we can fix it. That's it. Simple.
If you ride your bike off a cliff, into an oncoming truck, or simply forget it's on the roof when you drive into that underground car park with the very low ceiling, it's not going to be covered by our warranty program.
